Anyone who knows me, knows my DevArt gallery was a big deal to me.
For 7 years it's been good for feedback, I've met some fine people here, and this is still a great place for art, resources and inspiration. But it has come to a point where for every piece of decent art there is a bunch of fetish art and stuff that looks like it belongs on 4chan.

I have nothing against sexual content, but at he same time I don't need to know what an anthropomorphic cow with inflated breasts looks like, or need to see any more bedroom selfies who think they have merit because they contain nudity, and I really don't care to look at another manga piece that flirts with paedophilia. I'm tired of seeing drawings of deformed women, and of people using their gallieries like pinterest.
I guess DeviantArt finally became actually deviant, heh.

So, like several artists, I've moved to DrawCrowd, a place where the average picture is amazing concept art, and not another goddamn pony drawing.
I may lose my audience and go back to square one, but at least I'll never have to see the cameltoe of a Sonic the Hedgehog character again.

So if anyone cares, you can find me here
drawcrowd.com/markarandjus

Since DrawCrowd is not a place for photography, I've opened a tumblr for my pin-up & glamour stuff here
markapinup.tumblr.com/

And I've moved my Rockabela project here
rockabela.tumblr.com/
rockabela-metal.tumblr.com/

Thanks to all the people who've paid attention to my work, I've always appreciated it. Laters!

This was really hard to do, and not just because I had to manually delete hundreds of images.

You're actually pretty right on all this. Always difficult to say if things were always that way or if we've just become more perceptive of it. Good luck in your new residences.

Thanks man, really.
You know, I think it was always there, I can't quite remember a time you couldn't find things like this, but it used to be like the weird part of YouTube - you didn't see it unless you went looking for it.
But not any more.

I swear that this whole thing about markiplier or pewdiepie or whatever man-children posting ridiculous videos on Youtube, xReader whatever writings and that kind of thing is really going to be the end of me.

Oh yeah exuberant YT content creators who think LOUD AND RANDOM is funny are the worst.
Generally I don't have much of a problem on YT though, because I only watch stuff I'm subscribed to.

BTW if you're interested in a gaming show that's not a bunch of kids yelling into a camera might I recommend Rage Select with Jason & Jeff?

I don't see that stuff on YT either, but I do see a lot of it here on the DA front page where users make all kinds of submission entries regarding that shit like it's a new religion.

I don't think the guy understands what kind of karma he's getting for this. You don't just close down a site like that. I wasn't a user, but I've been there quite a few times and clearly it must have been a thriving site considering the amount and diversity and quality of content. At some point, when you run a crowded place that people are clearly enjoying and have integrated in their way of life, both for personal and professional reasons, you just can't close it down overnight. Sell it if you have to, let it go to waste if you must, but holy shit, closing it down? Awful karma, in heavy servings.
