Live by the sword!
Die for the Lord!
Call down the vultures
To dine on the corpse!
"
I was thinking about all the forgotten children who die before their parents, and this song is about one of those poor bastards becoming Death's apprentice. -Frank Carter, Gallows vocalistWell I've been wanting to illustrate
this song since the day I heard it. Months later after a half dozen sketches I finally got it. Wanted to make the vultures more skeletal like so they'd be more symbolic and less lteral, but it that would be too Ashes of the Wake-like.
If you like hardcore punk or just hard rock in general please
give the Grey Britain album a listen, at least a few songs, it's seriously one of the best albums of 2009.
(Photshop CS3, used
this texture for the texture, images on the tombstones are from the Grey Britain album art)
I had a piece for Halloween though - a zombie pinup, my best pinup yet (still new at it), but due to complications I unfortunately couldn't upload it on Halloween, so I'll wait a while and make it even better before I do.
Plus the perspective on the scythe makes the metal blade thingy look small, apearing like death is waving a chils baby scythe. Therfore it's CUTE
